How We Store Rice

At MAINDISH.in, we understand that quality and freshness are important to our customers. To maintain the best possible condition of our rice, we take extra care in how it is stored before delivery.

Our Storage Process

This is how we store our rice.

• All rice is delivered to our office from the vendor.
• Upon arrival, every bag is immediately moved into our refrigerated storage room.
• The rice remains refrigerated throughout its stay in our warehouse until it is shipped.
• We carefully monitor our storage  temperature to help maintain product quality.

About Rice Insects

Rice is a natural agricultural product. In some cases, tiny insect eggs that are naturally present in grains may remain inside the rice even though they are not visible.

Under warm and humid conditions, these eggs may hatch into rice weevils. This is a natural phenomenon that can occur with any type of rice and does not necessarily indicate poor quality or improper handling.

Because the timing of hatching depends on factors such as temperature and humidity during transportation and storage after shipment, it is unfortunately impossible for us to determine exactly when or where insects may develop.

Although we refrigerate all rice before shipment, we cannot completely eliminate this natural risk.

Recommended Storage After Delivery

To help keep your rice fresh, we recommend:

• Store the rice in the refrigerator immediately after delivery.
• Keep the bag tightly sealed after opening.
• Transfer the rice to an airtight container if possible.
• Avoid storing rice in warm or humid places.

Proper refrigerated storage significantly reduces the chance of insect development.
